Formerly Minas Ithil - The Tower of the Moon - this watchtower on the edge of Mordor's mountainous border was captured by the Ringwraiths in the Third Age. It became occupied by fell creatures and became a foul and evil place, well earning its new name: Minas Morgul, the Tower of Black Sorcery.
It is from this fortress that the Witch-King of Angmar, Sauron's right hand, lead his forces to the final battle beneath the walls of Minas Tirith.
* A coupon included in the Return of the King DVD Gift Box Set gave customers access to purchase this companion piece to that set's Minas Tirith environment.
