Announcing: GoB is now trading in MtG Singles!
We are finally offering Magic: The Gathering (MTG) card singles in store only as of 4/20! Here’s how it’s going to work, we are currently looking for bulk cards, and non-reserved list cards. We will be accepting them Monday and Wednesday from open (11am) until 4:00pm. We have just a few staff right now who will value and accept cards. Trade in cards for store credit which you can then use on new cards or anything else in the store! Single cards are available to purchase in-store any time! Come on by to peruse the bulk or higher value card displays.
- We are only offering store credit tied to a GoB account at this time.
- We will be accepting them Monday and Wednesday from open (11am) until 4:00pm.
- Bulk will be accepted at 1000 cards for $5 store credit tied to your GoB account.
-
- We are not currently accepting Lands, Tokens, Tip cards, Advertisement cards, Punchout cards and/or Emblems.
- We are not currently accepting non-English language cards, unless the printing is only found in its non-English format (i.e. SOS Mystical Archives)
- At this moment we are not accepting Acorn stamped Unfinity cards, nor any other Un-set cards (Unglued, Unhinged, Unstable)
- Cards that have a perceived value of at least $2 or more will be treated as non-bulk and will have to be separated from Bulk to get a better offer.
-
- Cards that are non-bulk will be initially offered store credit tied to your GoB account equal to 60% of TCGPlayer low in similar conditions. We will ignore any abnormalities in TCGPlayer listings to come up with an appraised value at GoB.
-
- Demand for some cards may see us offer a higher value or reject a card.
- At this moment we are not accepting cards with a perceived value of more than $100.
- We will be using TCGPlayer’s Card Condition Overview guide as a foundation to our appraisal process.
-
The turnaround of larger appraisal jobs (i.e. handing us a binder or an equivalent) may take a minimum of 48 hours up to several weeks depending on our current workload.
- For these larger appraisal jobs, a Liability Form will be provided and will need to be filled out.
- An Itemized list must be provided by the customer.
-
- The list can use the GoB submission form, be handwritten (must be legible), spreadsheet, Moxfield, or using TCGPlayer.
- This list will be signed by an appropriate staff member, and the customer as well.
That’s largely it! Some areas of the store will be adjusted to accommodate us selling bulk cards and displaying singles. As we have growing pains with this new process things may change week-to-week as we settle on what works for our community and for us as a business. Thank you for your continued support of all of us here at GoB!
