Think Cards Against Humanity by way of an English degree, but one that the whole table can play without anyone needing a content warning. What makes it click is that the humor lands differently depending on how well you know the characters, so the bookworms at the table have a genuine edge without the game ever feeling exclusionary.
You don't need to have read every title to get laughs, but you will leave wanting to. It's a party game with a little texture to it, which is a rare thing. Great for book clubs looking to loosen up, or any gathering where at least a few people have opinions about fictional characters.
