EVENT: MtG: Regional Championship Qualifier RCQ [5/23] 12:00 PM

Join us at Games of Berkeley on Saturday May 23rd for an RCQ!

Specifically Magic the Gathering Regional Championship Qualifier for Season 5 Round 1 US Regional Championship.

This event takes place Saturday May 23rd beginning at 12:00 PM Noon. Doors open and sign ins begin at 11am. Lateness may result in a 1st round loss at the judges discretion. If you are registering on behalf of someone else, please put their name in the comments section at check out.

The format for this event is Constructed Modern. The tournament will comprise 5 Swiss-paired rounds followed by a top cut. A winner will be determined by single elimination.

Decklists: Deck lists are required for this event. To expedite check in, please either email a digital version to events@gamesofberkeley.com with "RCQ" and your name in the subject line prior to the event, or bring a complete, printed or legibly written deck list with you. Players must submit their desk list on an official deck registration form.

Prizes:

- All participants will receive a non-foil Ancient Stirrings promo card with art by SimzArt.

- Top 8 Finishers will also receive 6 Secrets of Strixhaven booster packs, and a non-foil Sowing Mycospawn promo card with art by Nathan Jurevicius.

- Top 4 finishers will win an additional 3 Secrets of Strixhaven booster packs.

- Winner receives 1 Secrets of Strixhaven Collector Booster Pack, a traditional foil Sowing Mycospawn promo card, and an invitation to the US Regional Championship at SCG CON Baltimore September 11-13, 2026.

The United States Regional Championships are invitation-only Magic: The Gathering events held three times each year at SCG CON events. Players qualify for the Regional Championships by playing in Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs), hosted by WPN and WPN Premium game stores. Top finishers from the Regional Championships earn cash prizes, as well as qualification for the Pro Tour and World Championship.
