Materials: Please bring several brushes, with at least one fine detail brush. Everything else will be provided.
Ages 13+
About you:
You’ve painted 10+ minis. You’ve got an idea of how to use a brush. You’re not quite sure where to go next and how to achieve those gorgeous paint jobs on the internet. You’re open to feedback and new ideas.
About Sam:
Sam, like many of us, picked his childhood hobby back up during the pandemic. He paints both for competition and gaming and his projects span tabletop- and large-scale full figures, busts, dioramas, sculpting, and woodworking. Sam espouses a “fundamentals-up” technique, emphasizing color theory, composition, knowledge of mixed media, and use of reference material. He has yet to find “his style” and prefers to spend time exploring and sampling the vast universe of art, looking for compelling and fun projects. His experience includes teaching group classes at Kublacon and Games of Berkeley, providing one-on-one and small group coaching, and box art commissions. His awards include Best In Show at Kublacon, the yearly Bay Area miniature painting competition.
*Event tickets are not refundable. If necessary they may be exchanged for a future event or store credit. Please review our event policies and if you still have questions, contact events@gamesofberkeley.com!
