The game recreates the vast Battle of Leipzig on October 16, 1813 in which Napoleon fought desperately to defend his Confederation of the Rhine from the combined forces of the Sixth Coalition (Austria; Prussia; Russia and assorted German states); whose Albion-oiled noose was poised to strangle the last vestiges of the French Revolution from Europe.
There are [seven] 22 X 34 four-color maps with such Saxon towns and villages as Wachau; Markkleeberg; Liebertwolkwitz; Auenhain and Guelden-Gossa, which were the scenes of much fierce fighting in the Battle of Nations. The forces are represented by over 1200 four-color counters and 300 informational markers.
